It's Just Not There

The other day I was bathing my son my husband came running in and said to me where is your credit card? I told him it was in my purse on the stroller. He ran out a few minutes later he ran back in. Where ? He yelled its not there. I heard him moving things around and he kept yelling he couldn't find it so I walked out and things were every where. Yet, there on the stroller was my purse untouched with the credit card in it. This is not a one time thing by any means. I can't tell you how many times I have told my hubby his keys were on the table just to have him freak out that he cant find it all during which his keys were sitting on the you guessed it table.

I'm not sure what causes it. My hubby is a very intelligent man. He can knows the director of just about any film you name. He can mix a really mean martini but he cant find anything to save his life. Maybe its caused by a shift in the space time continuum. Maybe he is temporally kidnapped by aliens and has the finding things part of his brain disabled whatever it is it is really strange.

The other day my son asked me where his bobo was (pacifier for you laymen) I told him it was on the couch. He started to cry and told me he couldn't find it and yet there it was on the couch. I'm getting really scared now is it catching...should I alert the FBI?

Still not here...miss me?

no its a male thing. you son holds the same gene as my son and my husband.

the ironic thing is that from time to time my husband participates in search and rescue missions but yet he cant find his wallet. scary.

MUST be a man thing, I've got the same problem. Mine can't find anything NOR can he remember where he put his own things! He hasn't caught on to the fact that if you put something in the same place every day, it will still be there the next time you are looking for it! :)

It's a man thing. TOTALLY a man thing. And it annoys the hell out of me.

Men can never find anything. This applies to ALL of them. My husband will be looking for something, say...in the fridge, and he will insist that it isn't there. I will walk calmly over, slide a jar of pickles out of the way, and VOILA! He will look at me like I've just done some sort of magic trick, because to him, the idea that there could be stuff behind other stuff is a foreign concept.

We must be married to the same guy.

Wow, glad I'm not the only one who wonders about this! Just like Heather commented about the fridge thing, jeez--sounds like the same husband!

I think it's rooted in the fact that they don't want to believe that we're RIGHT.

If a man answers the phone at the FBI, he may not be able to find your house to help you! So, forget it. It's definitely a male thing... someone should do a study - or several, just in case.

I think it's a male and a kid thing. How come wives and moms are the only ones who can find stuff? Probably because we're the ones usually putting things up.

I can't count how many times my son has asked me where something is, I tell him, he says it's not, and I go find it right where I said it was. Is it laziness?

Me? Sometimes I can't find my keys, but I always find them! LOL

And my son called his pacifier "Bobby." I don't get it!
