Never Wordless Wednesday

What do you do when you run out of in the middle of the night?

I've heard of using
or
or even

Sometimes in parenting you need to be creative but some things just do not work such as:
or
or even
and its not for lack of trying!

  1. I use cloth diapers, so I don't typically have nighttime emergencies, but I've heard of people using a dish towel with safety pins and a bread bag taped over top. Seriously.

As they say, necessity is the mother of invention.

  4. A nice creative (not so) Wordless Wednesday! I think I'd go with a kitchen dish towel in a diaper emergency!

  6. This happened to me recently with the twins. Luckily - it's summer and I was able to locate some swim diapers.

You could just put a lot of towel layers over the crib sheet (or toddler bed sheet). This is something that I'm thinking of doing since my three year old requires pull ups at night - BUT has started taking them off. So he wakes up in a puddle of pee every morning. I have no idea how to work on this with him as I'm not in his room at night. I've heard about waking them up to go to the potty - but HELLO there is NO WAY that I'm risking him waking up and refusing to go back to bed. Now I'm completely off topic and just talking about myself.

Good luck with improvising diapers - apparently I have no suggestions.

    Geez, Idunno...

I guess I'd use a towel and some duct tape. You know, you can use duct tape for anything!

  23. Well pancakes are absorbent! I know cause they suck up every ounce of syrup and are still dry if you don't scarf 'em down fast enough. ;-)
