Must Be A Kid Thing

As it was a long and whiny weekend I made sure the kids went to bed on the early side. I think the bed time is a bit too early for B but he can play as long as he doesn't wake the baby or leave the room.

Last night after about an hour I checked on the kids and saw this:

Warning: This is a reenactment. B does not becomes green and rips his shirt when angry. Well at least not in the past two months or so.

There was B playing happily.

About an hour later I heard a thump.

When I walked in I saw this. He just played until he fell.

I tried to imagine that happening to me.

Oh blogging is so much fun. Wordless Wednesday Weee!!! Cant wait to post this Barbie photo..zzzz

I love standing in line for the post office. This is so great. Must get additional postage...zzzz

This is the best sandwich must put on mustard please pass the mayo...zzzzz

Nope. Must be a kids thing.

I think its a kid thing and a guy thing! I know my husband has been known to drop off mid-sentence!
Take care,

Wow mine have not done that in forever! I could only hope that Little Logan will just fall over and go to sleep. :(

And yes they are contacts. She wears them when she plays softball, and she had just come from pratice. :)

It's men too...my husband occasionally falls asleep in the middle of a conversation. Just BAM! He's out.

It's totally a kid thing. They will keep their eyes open until they shut involuntarily.

We've got tons of photos of our kids asleep in the middle of doughnuts (that I would NEVER do!) and barbies and playmobile.
I'm not sure what that says about us.

Not a total kid thing, though mine have flopped over in their high chair with the spoon still in hand. But it is awful when I wake up with a keyboard embedded in my forhead and drool leaking down my chin.

Funny! Boring books have that effect on me, but never toys.

I wish it wasn't just a kid thing. I can think of many times I would have benefitted from just falling over asleep.

It kinda happened to me yesterday. But I was lying down first, so that probably doesn't count. What IS astonishing is that my kids actually let me sleep in the middle of the day for two whole hours!

That's happened to me working on the computer a few years ago. Suddenly my head does that bob thing, and you realize you were falling asleep... not a good example to set for your employees! ha!

It's weird isn't. It's a kid thing but also a my husband thing. He once fell asleep while pouring a drink!

For the last 3 nights, I have had to go and pop Amy into bed because she has fallen asleep on the floor. Mercifully without the thump.

haha! BOTH of my kids did that yesterday afternoon... which is really rare in our house, so it was especially strange it happened to both on the same day... my youngest (10mo) was banging pot lids at my feet in the kitchen. all the sudden he was quiet so i looked down and he was fast asleep on my foot :-) there's a pic on my blog.

That is sweet! He actually fell with a thump. Must be all that walking to school you make him do.

I think nature screwed up. It's we moms who need the ability to fall off to sleep quickly.
