Personally, the second one sounds awesome to me. Many is the year that I fell asleep before midnight! And I am o.k. with that!
New Year's parties are overrated. Once you have kids its all about a warm bath and a good night's sleep.
We are at home kicking back, watching TV, too... wouldn't have it any other way!!

I was thinking how fun your party sounded, and then as I read on, I thought about how fun going to bed early sounded too. I was up at 11:30 last night working on my budget. BORING! At least I accomplished one of my new year's resolutions by doing it though.
